It's time to say THANK YOU

and

It's time to RETIRE!

I have had the pleasure of managing the Lone Star Magic Auction and its predecessor for 11 years and it is time to retire.

On the evening of 20 February I embark on a new project that will last through 2012 and unfortunately it centers on every February.

So I will end my association with LSMA that evening but Derek Kennedy will still be in charge and Dan Scrivner will slide into my chair. His computer expertise this year has already made a world of difference – as you will see.

I wonder if you realize that there is another contributor to the success of these 11 years.  He is Billy Godfrey who designed and operates the www.lonestarmagicauction.com website.

Those helpful pictures of annual auction items are Derek's camera and Billy's web magic make your buying decisions easier and  also make up a remarkable archive of what props look like, particularly the historic and collectible items.

If I find myself at home and available in future Dec/Jan times, I will join the team in helping the log-in and tagging process.  But it appears that I will miss every February and the auctions themselves.

So, I thank you all for your assistance, your interest, your enthusiasm and your attendance at LSMA.  Join us on 20 Feb.

Arthur Emerson
